What about playing video games? Putting on lipstick? Or even having sex? It seems that people are doing all kinds of dangerous stuff behind the wheel.
With all the talk about cellphones and texting, we thought you’d like see what other wacky behaviors are going on in the vehicles around you.
The firm Jabra, which produces headsets and in-car speaker phones, surveyed hundreds of people in countries stretching from the United States to Japan to find out what they do while driving down the highway. Here are the most common distractions:
• Eating (72 percent)
• Kissing (29 percent)
• Texting (28 percent)
• Changing clothes (25 percent)
• Having sex (15 percent)
• Applying makeup (13 percent)
• Reading or writing emails (12 percent)
• Reading newspapers or books (10 percent)
• Playing video games (5 percent)
Probably not the brightest behaviors on the road.
